Today we announced Yelp’s participation in the Open to All campaign. The campaign is meant to build awareness and understanding of the importance of nondiscrimination laws and defend the bedrock principle that when businesses open their doors to the public, they should be Open to All.
Like our Gender Neutral Bathroom attribute, we are introducing the “Open to All” attribute as part of our commitment to supporting this important cause. This new attribute will allow your businesses to distinguish itself as a safe and welcoming place to everyone, regardless of ethnicity, race, sex, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
When a consumer visits your Yelp page they’ll be able to see whether or not your business is “Open to All.” It’ll be highlighted under “More business info.”
If you would like to add or edit the attribute on your Yelp business page, follow these easy steps:
Click “Edit” to change your basic business information
Under “Additional Information” find Open to All and select either “Yes” or “No”
Click “Save Changes” for the attribute to go live
If you choose “Yes” then Yelp users will see that your business is Open to All. You’ll also receive a free window decal for your business. If you choose “No,” then your page will indicate that you’re not Open to All under the attribute section. If you don’t select either “Yes” or “No”, the attribute won’t appear on your page at all.
