On Thursday, May 10th, Phoenix Elites were invited out to Pork on a Fork in Phoenix for all of the BBQ their hearts desired. At this tasty affair, Elites were greeted with smiles, indulged in beer or wine of their choice, and ordered the BBQ platter of dreams from their extensive menu. There is truly something for everyone at this BBQ joint.
Pork on a Fork is a locally owned and operated business and their passion for BBQ truly shines through in every detail. Born and raised in the Midwest, the owners really know how to prepare the perfect meats. Elites were told to choose the combo platter of their choice, which consisted of 3 different meats per platter. They chose between hand pulled pork, hand pulled chicken, beef brisket, or smoked sausage. To go along with the meats, they chose two sides, all of which are homemade, family recipes. Sides included Grandma’s potato salad, creamy coleslaw, cornbread muffins, waffle fries, BBQ baked beans, macaroni & cheese, macaroni salad, a side salad, sweet potato fries, and brown rice. Whew, how do you even choose from that amazing list? Of course, the platter wouldn’t be complete without their signature sauces on top! Sauces included their Sweet & Mild, Crazy J’s Hot, Smokey Tangy, and Zippy Mustard.
A huge thank you to the Pork on a Fork team for welcoming us into your ‘home’ and sharing your passion for BBQ straight from the heart.
