SF’s Ultimate Progressive Dinner presented by Yelp Reservations

The Ultimate Progressive Dinner, hosted by Yelp Reservations

When it comes to good eats, sometimes more is more. So, when Yelp Reservations sought to create a 5-star dining experience for Yelp Elites, we couldn’t settle on highlighting just one of the 300 San Francisco restaurants that accept reservations on Yelp. Thus, the Ultimate Progressive Dinner party was born!

On July 10th, 100 Yelp Elite members were invited to Yelp headquarters to sample dishes from ROOH, Dirty Water, and M.Y. China — three SF restaurants that take reservations exclusively on Yelp.  Each restaurant hosted a communal table of 20 Elite guests at a time, serving up dishes of antelope & mashed potatoes (Dirty Water), tuna bhel with avocado, tamarind gel and togarashi (ROOH), and golden garlic lobster over crispy Hong Kong noodles (M.Y. China) to rotating groups of diners. Every 15-minutes, Elites sampled a signature dish, gave live feedback to the chef, and of course… snapped tons of photos. Coupled with an appetizer of savory macarons from Food La La, and dessert from SF’s newest gelateria, Coletta Gelato, this was one unforgettable 5-course meal.

“We had an opportunity to get a glimpse into each of these restaurants, which were all different in cuisine,” says Elite member Vincent L. “There was a refreshing quality of having a communal, banquet table type of dining experience that I really enjoyed.”
