Today, we’re rolling out the ability for business owners to announce special hours on Yelp. Adding special hours helps consumers find your business if you’re open late for a special occasion, like Christmas Eve shopping, and clarifies days and times you’ll be closed for the holidays or a special event.
If you’re making the extra effort to extend hours for customer convenience, the new Special Hours feature is a great way to make sure people know your business is open. As an added benefit, you’ll avoid any unhappy customers who didn’t realize you were closed on a holiday.
How to add Special Hours on Yelp
Special hours are easy to set up. You can set them on the Yelp for Business Owners website and app.
On the Yelp for Business app, go to Business Information and select Special Hours. You can mark your business as closed for the day or open during a window of time. Special hours are set on a day-by-day basis, so add each day where your operating hours will be different from the hours regularly listed on Yelp.
Once your hours are set, consumers will see a banner highlighting your special hours on your Yelp Business Page as well as call outs in the hours section.
