Yelp New Orleans joined the green movement by combining forces with over 30 local businesses promoting earth-friendly or health & wellness initiatives for Yelp's So Fresh and So Green leading up to Earth Day on this past Tuesday. Multiple events and giveaways over the span of two weeks resulted in raised funds to support the Southern Animal Foundation Clinic and Grow Dat Youth Farm; recycling over 50 pounds of Mardi Gras beads from Yelp's Upcycling Crafternoon; munching on local fare from over a dozen local food producers at The Good Eggs So Fresh Fiesta; and spotlighting various eco-friendly companies at Earth Day Festival in Louis Armstrong Park and Earth Day: Living Green in New Orleans in the New Orleans Botanical Garden. Check out the full calendar listings here and our eco-chic photos on the Flickr page.
Thanks to our sponsors for providing support during So Fresh And So Green and their continual efforts to keep New Orleans "green!"
