Yelp’s Mimosa Madness @ Culinary Dropout

No uniforms, no formalities. This gastropub breaks all the rules in the most delicious way. From inspired fresh cocktails and the stylish bartenders who carefully craft them, Culinary Dropout is all about stirring things up. That is when they’re not serving up addictive house made pretzels with provolone fondue along with live music on weekends. If you’re looking for a soul kitchen, this is the place to go.

To ring in their new bottomless mimosa brunch, Vegas Elite's were welcomed in for a tasting along with a cooking demo from Head Chef, Eric Suniga. The tasting menu consisted of the breakfast burrito (filled with eggs, bacon, poblanos, pepper jack, fries and served with a homemade salsa), Cap'n Crunch French Toast (texas toast, cereal milk custard, toasted Cap'n, fresh strawberries) and the egg white frittata (chicken, mushrooms, asparagus, fontina cheese, topped with kale) and each course was greeted with "oohs" and "aahs" from the guests.

The drink menu was simple… mimosas… lot's of 'em, and not the kind that make you speed home for some Tums. Each was made from freshly squeezed OJ and chilled sparkling wine. Culinary Dropout was nice enough to disperse samples of their other boozy beverages as well, including the Bacon Bloody Mary and Room Service (gin, strawberry simple, lemon and sparkling wine).

Kayla M sums up the event perfectly: "It was great company, great music, great food, and great conversation." She adds, "Yelp had the entire patio to ourselves for much of the event. With a view of Rehab Pool and the music pumping it was definitely a fun party atmosphere worthy of a Yelp event. The staff was amazing! So attentive, keeping our glasses full and even bring out special drink requests. I tried the Bacon Bloody Mary and it's the bomb! I will be back again if only for this drink!"

"The General Manager Jay came around and met us, giving us each his card with a drink coupon on the back to use on a future visit. The head chef, Eric, spent time talking us through each course and even taught us how to make the Cap'n Crunch French Toast. The Sommelier came out to say hello and to tell us about their custom drinks. It was great meeting the staff and learning the thought behind the food and drink pairings."
