Who knew a picnic store could throw such a popular party? Yelp Elites, that's who. This picnic themed store does so much more than sell baskets and blankets and Yelp's Picnic Social at Green Central Station was out to prove it with amazing free food and schwag for Birmingham's Elite Yelpers.
Green Central Station loaded up a picnic table with more than enough, cheese, meat, stuffed grape leaves, and olives to feed an army of Yelpers. We were able to wash is all down with multiple varietys of Jim Beam Bourbon and flavored Pinnacle Vodka that might as well have been dessert. Speaking of Dessert, Michael N claims the brownies were, "some of the best I've ever had."
Chris Amerson, as always, enticed Yelpers to leave their inhabitions behind and jump in front of the camera. As Reed L points out, "the bicycle built for two made for the perfect phot op prop." If they weren't getting their picture made, party goers were grabbing all the Yelp, Jim Beam, and Pinnacle schwag they could get their hands on.
I can't thank Green Central Station, Jim Beam, Pinnacle Vodka, and Chris Amerson enough for being a part of this overly succesful Yelp Elite Event. As the Yelp community manager in a relatively new market, it's a lot of fun to see people show up to these events, enjoy themselves, and learn what Yelp is really about… connecting communities with local businesses. If you were lucky enough to be there, please go post a review of the the party and let everyone know what they missed. If you don't want to be left out of future get togethers like this one, go check out how to become a member of the Eilte Squad.
