Yelp NYC's Holiday Hangover rang in the beginning of 2013 in grand style this past Sunday, January 13th. Situated aboard the Hornblower Infinity - a spectacular new yacht that changed the landscape of New York City – upwards of 1,000 yelpers had the chance to hit the Hudson and East Rivers amidst unseasonably warm temperatures (global warming, whaaaa?) and a backdrop of Lower Manhattan that had flashbulbs a poppin'.
Inside, more than 30 different sponsors spit the hot fire (in a Dylan, Dylan, Dylan sort of way), making sure all passengers had a chance to vibe on their food, drink, and entertainment stuffs. On the nibble tip, Macondo, Barraca, Xe May Sandwich Shop, Pala Pizza, Meatball Obsession, Hummus Place, Yerba Buena Perry, Cuba, Makana, La Grande Pomme, Souvlaki GR, Pounds and Ounces, Dinosaur BBQ, Pescatore, Landbrot Bakery & Bar, Sticky's Finger Joint, Pie Face, New York Cake Pops, and Baconery pulled out all the stops, ensuring everyone on board walked away with a delectable mastication session. Drink wise, Heartland Brewery, Skyy, Zico coconut water, and Mercy kept the masses well hydrated, while Hungry March Band, DJ Facemelter, DJ Kev G, magician John Born, Katie Balloons and her living statue-ness, The Love Show, B.Gold NY, Sweet Booths photo booth, Dubspot DJ school, Finger Lake's School of Massage, and Hungry March Band had heads on swivels all night long.
Big ups to the New York City Coalition Against Hunger, who continue to make strides in feeding hungry New Yorkers, specifically those still recovering from the wrath of Hurricane Sandy. They always welcome donations to help the cause, and being our official non-profit partner for the Holiday Hangover, we'd be tickled if you showed them some love here.
