NOLA Elites Get Drenched in Red at Saints and Sinners

We're in the midst of Carnival Season here in New Orleans, a festive time that is ripe with loads of libations and extreme merriment. Yelp NOLA offered
up more of the same at our January Elite event at Saints and Sinners last week. It was like being back in Storyville. There was jazz. There was
liquor. There was sin sin sin

We harkened back those delicious decadent days, even if only in attitude and costume. Our Elites were all dressed up in the spirit of the event, leaving us all to ponder, saint or sinner?

There was tons of temptation this evening! In the gorgeously ornate VIP room upstairs, everyone sipped on
decadent complimentary craft cocktails (Silk Panties, anyone?), as
well as wine and beer. We indulged in crab cakes, fried cheese curds, beignet sticks, ratatouille, apricots stuffed with blue cheese and wrapped with bacon, Shrimp Creole, red beans & rice and Angus and pulled pork sliders.

Many of us engaged in the "meet your saint" ice breaker and Saints and Sinners awarded the winners, Jen L and Re H, with
$25 gift certificates to the club. It was great to see so many new Elites (and visiting ones, too!) at our first bash of the year! They were all welcomed into the fold with typical NOLA friendliness from our veterans. And who could resist throwing "Show us Your
Yelps" beads off the balcony onto admirers below on Bourbon

Thank you so much to Kurtz, Richard and Will, as well as the rest of phenomenal staff at Saints and Sinners who went above and beyond to make our group feel so welcome.

Check out the rave reviews… here's a bit from one of our favorites from Michelle B "This was my very first Elite Yelp event! Woohoo! I had such a good
time I'm still kind of smiling thinking about it.
Got to meet some of
my favorite Yelpers and I can say for certain that I have found my tribe
of food lovers!" Psssst. It's a regular peep show with rest of the pix on flickr!

So, who's a saint and who's a sinner? At this time of year, most of us are likely the latter (hey, there's plenty of time for Sainthood come February 13).

See you soon and Happy Mardi Gras!
