The Edmonton Elites descended on the newly-opened Jasper Ave location of Transcend Coffee for an elite evening of coffee, coffee cocktails, prizes, a little java widsom, and the hottest South American style eats!
Coffee connoisseur Josh got the party going by adding some delectable liqueurs to Transcend's signature roast.
James ran us through a quick coffee-tasting, where he taught us a little bit about where those magical beans come from, and we tasted a few different roasting methods. Kristin K had fun learning the "little facts – like coffee beans actually come from the seeds of cherries!"
And the perfect pairing with the tasty Transcend roast was a sneak-preview of their menu! Quoc C was a fan of every dish, even the ones he couldn't pronounce. "I can tell you they all had really good flavours, particularly the smoking hot salsa verde!" And Kristin K loved the "truly delectable corn tortilla with shredded pork, soft crumbled cheese, and fresh cilantro." Delectable indeed!
With bellies full of a red-seal meal and hot coffee-liqueur combos, the Edmonton Elites partied the night away. Lea A has huge praise for the Transcend staff, who are "so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about their work and product." And Aditya R left inspired to try to "master my tastebuds and differentiate between sour and bitter." Taste on!
