So much so that, according to the study, nearly 1 in 5 Americans say they would pay to have someone else to take care of some or all of their holiday chores. On average, respondents would be willing to pay someone else $107 to do the holiday cooking, $121 for holiday shopping, $184 to have home repairs done, and $226 to have all the cleaning done. Respondents also said they’d be willing to fork over an average of $134 to ensure their partner loves their gift, $152 to ensure politics doesn’t come up during holiday meals, and a whopping $259 to feel as excited about the holidays as they did as a child. Of course, there are some things money can’t buy, but for everything else, there’s Yelp.
